Olive Seeds conducts visual arts activities such as painting, ceramics, and sculpture workshops with expert instructors. Olive Seeds Painting Workshops are collaborative efforts with children from villages and disadvantaged areas, most of whom have received minimal or no formal training in painting and music.
The art workshops, which began in 2014 with artist Elvan Alpay (Art from Waste), and various artists employing different approaches and diverse subjects have resulted in the creation of children’s paintings that we are not accustomed to seeing, considering the children’s life experiences. The exhibitions and participation in children and youth biennials have provided children with a broad perspective, contributing to the development of their vision. Museum and exhibition visits are also beneficial for children’s cultural development in various aspects.
