The “Dream Melodies Painting Competition Exhibition” is taking place in Ayvalık! The exhibition, featuring the award-winning artworks from the themed competition based on Tchaikovsky’s opera “Eugene Onegin,” was inaugurated with a ceremony on the evening of August 1st, with the participation of Zeytin Çekirdekleri students. The paintings that received exhibition awards can be viewed at Ayvalık Karagöz Art House (183 Cumhuriyet Street) from August 2nd to August 8th, 2023, between 13:00 and 21:00.
In the “Dream Melodies Painting Competition,” organized for the second time this year by EMART Foundation for Strengthening Young Talents, the first prize for achievement was awarded to Emre Tura, a student of the Department of Art Education at Marmara University. The second prize was given to Ali Duman, a student of the Department of Painting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, and the third prize was presented to Sena Gündüz, a student of the Department of Plastic Arts and Painting at Yeditepe University. The jury’s special award was bestowed upon Oğuzhan Ulutaş, a student of the Department of Painting at Bilecik Şeyh Edebali University.
During the exhibition opening at Ayvalık Karagöz Art House, young artists Giray Efe (Saxophone), Gioia Alissa Moro (Piano), Fikret Deniz Dilli (Cello), and Yusuf Umut (Flute) performed a concert featuring Tchaikovsky’s compositions, with contributions from Zeytin Çekirdekleri Association. After the speeches, the opening of the exhibition, featuring 4 award-winning works and 19 other notable pieces, was attended by a large number of art enthusiasts.
